AVIATION FUEL JET A-1

Jet Fuel, also known as Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) or Jet A-1, is a high-performance fuel specifically designed for aircraft powered by gas-turbine engines. It is a clear to straw-colored liquid and is widely used in commercial aviation around the world.

The most commonly used grades in civilian aviation are Jet A and Jet A-1, both produced according to strict international standards. These fuels are known for their consistency, safety, and reliability, making them ideal for a wide range of aircraft. Jet B, another type of jet fuel, is primarily used in extremely cold climates due to its superior low-temperature performance.

Jet fuel is composed of a complex blend of hydrocarbons, and its exact chemical composition can vary depending on the crude oil source and refining process. Because of this variability, jet fuel is not defined by its chemical formula, but by its performance characteristics, such as freezing point, flash point, and combustion quality.

Kerosene-type jet fuels (Jet A, Jet A-1, JP-5, JP-8) typically contain hydrocarbons with carbon numbers between 8 and 16.

Wide-cut or naphtha-type fuels (Jet B, JP-4) have a broader range, usually between carbon numbers 5 and 15.

At Dutch Oil Trading, we ensure that all our jet fuels meet stringent international specifications, offering consistent quality, safety, and performance across every delivery. Whether your operations are based in hot climates or require fuel with excellent cold-weather stability, we can supply the right aviation fuel to meet your needs.
